DBT Skills Group for Teens

When: Mondays 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Date: January 31st

Who: Teens age 14-17

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a treatment protocol that has gained international acclaim for the successful treatment of a variety of mental health issues

What: including: emotional regulation, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, impulsive/reactive behaviors, and interpersonal difficulties. Skills learned include: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. For more information check out the DBT flyer here.

Investment: $60 per group, payable at the start of each month

(A Group for Men)

Date: Restarting Wednesdays January 19, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Investment: $40 per group. 6-week commitment. 

Where: Strength in Motion Counseling 5277 Manhattan Cir #250 in Boulder.

What: This is a six-week men’s group based on experiential therapy. It is a “real-time” lab where you can find support and accountability from other men. It’s a unique opportunity to try out new behaviors, connect with other men, cultivate courage, and experiment with new ways of relating. This is a group for men who want to step into bravery, honesty, and growth with an experienced facilitator.

Who Is It For:

  • This is a group for adult men who desire greater self-awareness. Previous experience with
  • therapy is recommended, but not required. Common themes that emerge in these groups
  • include grief, anger, disconnect from emotions, accountability, vulnerability, and life purpose.

Facilitator: Matt Bynum, MA, LPC is a counselor in Boulder. He has over a decade working in outdoor/experiential education settings and specializes in men’s work. Matt is highly trained in experiential methods and is a perpetual student in interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships.

Authentic Parenting Workshop Series

Date: Feb 24th at 6:00 pm (MST)

Investment: $15/class

Location: In person at our office

What: Do your kids melt down without explanation? Do you find yourself getting more and more frustrated with your kids’ behaviors? Let’s talk about it. Sara will lead parents through a trauma-informed class educating on how our pasts can catch up with us. She hopes to send parents away with practical skills that will allow families to work more closely together and will lead to more harmony in the household.
