Strength in Motion was established in 2014 to support clients in living towards their greatest potential. It began as a solo private practice at the base of the Flatirons with the intention to incorporate movement and psychotherapy given the significant connection and healing potential between the two. It quickly became clear that we could make a greater impact on our community and serve more people by including more holistic practitioners who could work collaboratively to address the whole person in each client that we see.
We believe that yoga, dance movement therapy, acupuncture, and other complementary services can all contribute to one’s healing journey. In 2018, the Strength in Motion Wellness Center was born and now offers a variety of healing methods to those that we serve. Our clinical team specializes in working with tweens, teens, young adults, adults, and parents struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, addictions, trauma, unhealthy behaviors, or family and life transitions.

The Strength in Motion clinical team offers unique approaches to treatment so you can receive a combination of holistic approaches alongside with traditional ones. Each of our team members is an expert in their given field and can provide you with the most up-to-date and comprehensive insight into how their treatment might suit you. Together we will determine what approaches will best serve your needs.
We offer a combination of mindfulness-based approaches and skill training, movement, hiking, walk and talk therapy, and traditional psychotherapy. Most often we utilize therapeutic modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic psychotherapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and other trauma-informed practices to best serve our client’s needs.
