We know that the thought of connecting with a therapist can be quite overwhelming. We are also aware that the idea of letting someone into your world between you and your partner is vulnerable and can feel scary. We’d like to acknowledge your courage in arriving here to explore further. Know that at Strength in Motion, you will find a clinical community of experts who are committed to supporting you in finding which therapy options might suit you and your partner best.
We believe in the power of therapy to peel back the layers and break down the walls that keep us from connecting in our relationships as our true, authentic selves. Many times in relationships we bring some of our older behavior patterns and triggers into our current relationships. Sometime we are aware of this as we start getting to know one another and other times we learn this as our relationship ages. If you feel that things have changed in your relationship or are worried that you are fighting more than you’d like, you are not alone!
At Strength in Motion, we can help you understand and improve areas of your relationship that feel confusing or broken. We work with you to become aware of the patterns of relating that have brought you to this place. At a pace you feel comfortable with, we will help you to identify areas of your relationship that aren’t working in order to address these things. We will work with you to understand one another more deeply so that you can reclaim the relationship you both want.
No matter the challenges you face, and no matter how overwhelmed you both may feel, we have good news. We believe that YOU already have all you need to make the changes you want to make in your relationship. YOU have already carried yourselves through this relationship, and we will work with YOU - the experts on YOUR relationship - to find out what you already know, uncover what you have not yet learned, and help you adapt behaviors that may need some support and guidance.
Strength in Motion offers couples therapy and pre-marital counseling. We welcome LGBTQIPA couples as well as married, unmarried, and consensual non-monogamous couples. Meet our clinical team to gain more information on specific practitioners and their specialties.
