A wide variety of people come for treatment, ranging from children to the elderly, and many have found it extremely beneficial where other forms of treatment have been unsuccessful. Five Element Acupuncture can be used in conjunction with other care you are receiving. Beth specializes in treating physical and emotional pain. This includes all kinds of physical pain such as neck, back, injuries, pms and headaches. Emotionally, Beth has been able to help her clients get relief from depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and much more. Additionally, Beth enjoys working with people who have many other types of symptoms, even typically difficult to treat problems.

Another area of focus for Beth is treating the symptoms of neurologic conditions. She has been trained in Neuro-Acupuncture (NA)

NA is a very safe technique. It is sometimes referred to as scalp acupuncture because many of the points used are on the scalp. These points are correlated to a specific part of the brain and stimulate areas associated with motor, sensory, or other functional impairment. Stimulating specific areas help restore connections and lost abilities. She uses her own unique combination of Neuro-Acupuncture, Five-Element Acupuncture, and nutrition to help conditions such as traumatic brain injury, concussion, stroke, anxiety, PTSD, Parkinson's, MS, and more.

NST Bodywork
Who can benefit from NST?

Any symptom the body manifests can be treated with NST because this therapy alerts your innate healing wisdom to be activated. In other words, NST restores the structural integrity of the your body so it can heal itself. It removes structural blocks that are getting in the way. This does not mean that every condition will respond in the same way. Some conditions require a multifaceted approach of which NST may be an intricate piece. NST is safe for all ages, from newborns to elderly. It is useful for a wide range of conditions from acute to chronic.

What is NST?

NST (NeuroStructural Integration Technique) is a dynamic form of bodywork that can provide you with lasting relief from pain and dysfunction, along with increased energy levels. You will feel deeply relaxed because this soft tissue therapy releases muscles and fascia. The main objective is to reintegrate and restore your body as a whole, allowing for better communication throughout your system. Now healing can really take place!

How does it work?

NST uses a series of gentle moves on specific muscles at precise points to create energy flow and vibrations between these points. This stimulates the nervous system which allows your body to communicate better with itself. The result is a  balance between muscles, organs and other tissues. NST is done with a light touch across muscles, tendons, fascia and nerves. It can be done directly on the skin or through light clothing.

Vitamin B12 Injections
Are you tired of being tired? What are you missing out on because you don't have enough energy?

So why are you fatigued? Your fatigue may be due to an inability to absorb B12 in your gut due to aging and a lack of stomach acid, prescription medications including all heartburn medications and Metformin, aspirin, and eating too many processed foods. B12 deficiency can also be masked by large doses of supplemental folate. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), 15% of the population has a deficiency, but some experts like Dr. Oz think it could be as many as 40%.

For some, B12 injections are a way to ensure the body has an adequate supply because it bypasses the gut and goes straight into the bloodstream.

What is vitamin B12 and how is it useful?

Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that is an essential nutrient that helps the central nervous system to function properly, assists in the formation of red blood cells, and helps make DNA.

What can vitamin B12 injections do for me?

If you’re experiencing fatigue and have a deficiency in B12, these injections may increase overall energy levels. It works by helping the red blood cells to carry oxygen more efficiently. Also, if you fatigue is due to a lack of sleep and/or stress, B12 can help calm the nervous system which can help you sleep better.

What are sources of vitamin B12?

Although there seems to be some debate about this, it appears our body does not make B12 by itself, similar to vitamin D. Eggs, meat and nutritional yeast are good sources of B12 if you’re gut is healthy enough to absorb it.

Where are injections given?

The injection is given into a muscle, typically the tush. You probably won’t feel a thing.

Typically, you will need a B12 shot once a week for several weeks to build up your stores. After your levels are in a good range, a shot is given every 1 to 3 months.

Form Matters

Methylcobalamin is better absorbed and retained in higher amounts within your tissues than cyanocobalamin. I use B12 methylcobalamin injections, which are preservative and chemical free.

Contraindications for vitamin B12 injections
  • Allergies to cobalamin

  • History of blood clots

  • Megloblastic Anemia

  • Leber’s disease
